Fu Shurui, a post-90s Transcendentalist artist, oil painter and independent scholar, is renowned for his representative works such as "Enlightenment", "The Way", "The Hall of Art", and the "Heart's Whisper" series.

符书瑞的创作聚焦于一个核心的视觉哲学命题:以东方上古文明传承的“具象感知”思维,解构西方抽象思维所主导的现代性困境。他认为,东方“书画同源”的智慧与道家“天人合一”的观照方式,蕴含了与万物共感的整体性认知,这正是纠正现代文明失衡的关键。
符书瑞的实践立足于一个由其独立构建的学术核心:以《道德经》“反者道之动”的哲学,逆向解构西方抽象艺术的既定体系。他提出,西方抽象是对自然的“剥离”,而东方智慧是对关系的“返回”。
他认为,中国古代的具象思维认知,内蕴了一种与万物共鸣的、未被充分现代性驯化的感知系统。这为反思并重塑由西方抽象逻辑所主导的当代视觉秩序,提出了质疑,并提供了多元化的实现路径,向更丰富、更包容的视觉秩序探索。

Fu Shur is a contemporary Chinese artist committed to the exploration and practice of "transcendentalism" painting. In today's global art world, which is increasingly inclined towards conceptualization and narratives, he chooses a lonely path of inward exploration, using art as a medium to question the eternal order and spiritual essence beneath the surface world. For Fu Shurui, "cendentalism" is not a simple reproduction of Western philosophical traditions, but a unique system rooted in Eastern metaphysics and personal meditation. His works attempt to transcend the limitations of the, capturing the invisible and intangible "aura" that truly exists. On the canvas, color and form are no longer the representation of matter but become visual carriers of energy, and the rhythm of the universe, creating a deep silence and a state of trance, and was selected for the Biennial of Art in Berlin in October 2025.
Fu Shurui's creation focuses on a core visual philosophical proposition: deconstruct the modernity dilemma dominated by Western abstract thinking with the "iconographic perception" thinking inherited from ancient Eastern civilization. He believes that the Eastern wisdom of "the same of painting and calligraphy" and the Taoist perspective of "the unity of heaven and man" contain a holistic cognitive system that resonates with all things, which precisely the key to correcting the imbalance of modern civilization.
Fu Shurui's practice is based on an academic core independently constructed by him: to deconstruct the established of Western abstract art with the philosophy of "the movement of Tao is the opposite" in the "Tao Te Ching". He proposes that Western abstraction is the "pping" of nature, while Eastern wisdom is the "return" to relationships.
